What you're looking at here is step one, the sketch. Why is it in red you might be thinking. Well the answer is the first sketch is always in a color (either red or blue). I make all my mistakes here and then go over the drawing with pencil to tighten it up.

The reason it's done in either red or blue is once I've scanned it into the computer I can eliminate the blue or red and have only the pencil sketch left. It saves me a lot of time and comes out much better then tracing it on the light box.
