Traditional Art

I love the look and feel of traditional art especially watercolor. Early in my career much of my art was done using tr watercolor on paper. Traditional watercolor is loose and spontaneous but it’s not very flexible when it comes to making changes. Changes from the publisher often meant a total redo making it slow and costly. Another issue i faced in my early days was color reproduction. Although my publishers did a good job reproducing my artwork often times they would miss some of the more subtle tones and color variations in my paintings. A scan no matter how good it is is still just a scan, one step away from the original.

A couple of years ago I decided to combined my knowledge of traditional art with my skills as a digital painter and create a 100% digital water color. I wanted to offer my clients the look and feel of traditional watercolor but with the convenience of digital art. The solution I found is quick, efficient, flexible and fast. Creating a digital watercolor in this style takes almost half the time as it used to and best of all making changes is simple.
