Art Director/ Lead Artist:

Responsibilities: Working directly with Creative Director and Project Directors utilized traditional art training, knowledge of animation and computer graphics software to produce art and animation for software. Executed background drawings, paintings, interfaces and character designs. Participated with product development team to help visualize and develop game designs. Coordinated and directed the artwork created at Funnybone Interactive. Set milestones for all assigned products and created strategic plans for short and long-term production. Supervised a team of artists each working on one or more software titles. Organized and guided art production from inception to release through design, concept, background and game art, 2D and 3D animation. Evaluated employee performance.

Accomplishments:

  • Created Concept Department and assisted in selection of staff.
  • Promoted to Art Director from staff artist, one year from hiring date.

I instructed students using the MonArt method using a variety of media. The MonArt method basically breaks a piece of art down into smaller simpler shapes and colors. The results are quite impressive especially for young students. The age Ranges for my classes were 4-7, 7-12, 13 and up.

I taught airbrush illustration for local community arts center. Responsible for a 4-week curriculum. Student ranged from beginner through intermediate. Classes were offered in summer and fall semesters.

For many years I have conducted  “how to draw” classes for students of all levels. I am trained in the Mon-Art method of illustration for children and have taught classes for children ages 4 and up.
